Wow...we've come along way havent we?

41 years ago, our parents were running around in little kampongs with the chickens and pigs, yet now as a nation and a people, we are slightly more sophisticated and spew jargon like "T.O.P, GDP and ERP" with ease.

Well, blurbme would like to wish all Singaporeans a Great National Day, and also take this opportunity to express some overdue thanks to some cool people for their support, blurbs, suggestions, criticisms and the like!

blurbme is exactly 2 months old, and its been a really fun ride so far. Our first month live saw us in beta preview release, where many friends and family of the blurbme team, criticised, scolded, praised, tested and took the time to give us constructive feeback to make blurbme better than it originally was. Damn guys, you rock.

From suggestions like "Friend blurbs" to "Eh....why I cannot click there arrrr?", the feedback has been invaluable.

This last month, we saw how with zero marketing (thanks to our pathetic budget...) but with our faithful blurbers talking, blogging, plugging and screaming from the top of their lungs, how blurbme had the potential to grow into something really special. Thank you! We now boast a few hundred strong and growing everyday!

But this aint the end of the road...not by a long shot!! We've got tons of improvements that you blurbers have been asking for...and we aim to deliver in a big way!

Hi everyone and welcome to the blurbme preview release. We've been hard at work at building what we hope will be the best peer review social network for lifestyle establishments in Singapore.

Damn it, blurbme is the ONLY peer review social network for lifestyle establishments in Singapore at this post's publishing date. So we hope you will like it as much as we do.

We've put our heart and souls into creating a site that will help you decide on where to go over the weekends, after work or anytime you feel like, all based on impartial user reviews that are important to you.

From your friends and from people just like you, all seeking the best that Singapore has to offer.

If you are asking how the inspiration for blurbme came about, then we can tell you that the inspiration came from you.

Everywhere we go, the blurbme team hears people talking about where to go or what to do over the weekends. And more often than not, its these recommendations and conversations from our friends that help us to make informed decisions on whats hip and whats not.

So we thought to ourselves one contemplative and quiet night, "Wouldnt it be great if we could get everyone's opinions on what's good and what's not in one central place? How much would that rock?" With that realization, a star beaming brightly overhead and angels whispering in our ears as we scribbled these ideas down excitedly on a cafe napkin, blurbme was born.
